In this regard, complexity science offers a new lens upon which to look at the world’s most complex challenges such as war, disease, famine, poverty, unrest and unemployment. Many of these challenges are believed to be behavioural outcomes of such macro-global complex systems as global politics, economics, trade, social behaviour and the like.

Complex Systems Theory is thus no longer considered to be a purely theoretical pursuit but rather a new generation management discipline for controlling those material phenomena that can emerge from within a highly complex situation. More to the point, complex systems theory is fast becoming a modern era toolkit for addressing complex management challenges.”
